They do different jobs. The external auditor gives an opinion on your financial statements; internal audit looks at how well your processes and controls protect the business throughout the year.

Which companies need audited financial statements in the UAE?
For Corporate Tax: businesses with revenue above AED 50 million and every Qualifying Free Zone Person. Many free zone authorities, banks and investors also ask for audited accounts.
